After studying Interior Architecture and Industrial Design at ENSAV La Cambre, Audrey Ickx continued her studies in jewellery at the Jeanne Toussaint Institute. At the same time, she opened a gallery in Brussels, “ICKX Contemporary Jewelry”, bringing together contemporary jewelry designers and ceramists.
After managing this space and promoting the work of other creators for several years, she decided to devote herself more to the development of her artistic work. Contemporary jewelry creations (sculptures) with minimalist design but also multidisciplinary projects (jewelry, photography, painting,…). Linearity, sobriety, repetition, the (sometimes subtle) use of color, poetry and dreams guide his creations.
The feeling is a very present source of inspiration in my way of apprehending my work. An infinite search to try to get closer, to translate a moment, a instant, a feeling,… Something impalpable, stealthy, that we would like to grasp but that escapes us. Like a stain on the iris that one tries in vain to look in the face.
