Olivier and Quentin Smolders have been collaborating for over thirty years on film, book and exhibition projects. These two accomplices have passionately crossed striking images, unusual events, mental projections, cabinets of curiosities and extravagant texts.<\/p>\n

Olivier Smolders is a writer, filmmaker and professor at the Insas (Brussels). He has directed some fifteen films that have won awards at numerous international festivals and has published several books on cinema, photography, literature and the arts in general. His work, which confronts the question of taboos, seeks to put the spectator in a troubling position with regard to his convictions and emotions.<\/p>\n
Quentin Smolders, painter, sculptor and engraver trained at La Cambre and 75, is also a professor at the School of Arts in Ixelles. He has elaborated a colourful work, both joyful and fantastic, using many techniques such as acrylic, wood engraving, lithography, collages or monotypes. Inspired by popular images, he creates a world in constant metamorphosis, bursting with color and unbridled forms.<\/p>\n
