Stalaktos I photograph

Silver gelatin print on glossy resin-coated paper, 30x24cm

Description

Stalaktos
Stalactite,
from the Greek stalaktos σταλακτίτης

“Which flows drip”

It began as it took off along the Mediterranean, swept away by the calima, warm and bewitching. During this time, she had taken refuge in the forest, to discover the unknown, the wild. A transparent shell, of rare and simple beauty, took him to shimmering wings with a large eyeball, which suddenly flew away. She slipped like a snake towards the river whose violent current threw her into the sea.
II. Sound walls protected her pale, quivering body. Cradled by the waves, she stepped out of her conch-ship, attracted by screaming draperies. When she arrived, she felt trapped in a cave where the stalactites were the only sources of light. The drops fell on her frail salty skin. She fell asleep on this mineral bed and became forever mottled.
